Nothing better

It was the first time on the boat for our daughter in law Jessica, our grand children and our daughter Katie.  We missed Bryan.

Friends in Bonifacio

We travel half way around the world and whom do we see in Bonifacio?
Our good friends the Bartos.  Eric and Tamara are on the last leg across the Atlantic, which will complete their round-the-world trek on their beautiful cat Sea Child.

Tavolara

We had some beautiful weather when we traveled south to Tavolara Isl in Sardinia.  It is an anchorage that has a nice beach which is busy during the day with tour boats, but is super quite in the afternoon and evenings.  Two restaurants and a bar on shore.

Girolata

The bay at Girolata on Corsica was one of our favorite places.  It is a very protected cove with mooring balls, but also a decent anchorage just outside the moorings.  The village ashore has a few restaurants and a nice bar.  Super casual, and the only way to get there by land is to hike in for one and a half hours.  We planned to stay for a day, but ended up staying 3 days.

Summer 2018

Our summer sailing started in late May when four of us sailed the boat from Palma to Bonifacio, Corsica.  On board we had Devon, Gregg, brother Brad and Nigel Leamon.
We had a great time sailing the West coast of Corsica and the NE coast of Sardinia.  Brad cruised with us until the 10th of June, and our children and grandchildren joined us in late June.  We ultimately got the boat to Barcelona and sailed back to Palma by mid July.
